Message	I don't know what the theoretical limit of 5/16" tube is but turbosmart use that size on their 800hp regs so I think you'd be OK. From experience yes you'll need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. You would only need to go larger if you can't reduce fuel pressure sufficiently.
